Just saw John Vanderslice and his band at the Middle East Upstairs with my girlfriend and my friend Sarah. Godfuckingdamn. Good hipstery somewhat danceable rock with dark and often political lyrics, played by a happy 95-pound man with a big nose and a bigger grin. He looked like a little bird with a semi-hollowbody guitar. Anyway, good times. You should all listen!
