I'm really sorry about this.
Oct. 6th, 2007 12:13 pmAnother meme, this one from
idonotlikepeas.
Oh yeah, in case you don't know, comment here and I'll ask you to explain yourself regarding 7 of your userpics, blah blah blah.

Oct. 1st, 2007 08:31 pmSorry about the meme. You know I can't resist. I just get so crazy sometimes.
Ahem.
Reply to this post, and I will list three things I love about you. Maybe more than three. Then repost to your own journal and spread the love.
Also:
Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

Pursuant to this post, here are answers to two more iterations of Mr. Interview Meme.

( Cut for your convenience )
Hey everybody, it's that special time again. I've gotten tagged by this a couple times before, but it's always a fun one.
So here's how it works (for those of you who haven't done it umpty-bazillion times already): If you want me to interview you, comment on this thingy, and I'll respond with some questions. You then post the answers to these questions in your journal, and the cycle begins anew. Also, if you feel like asking me questions of your own, have at it.

Jun. 13th, 2007 07:59 pmOK, it's meme time. Been a little while since I done did one of these here memey things. So here goes: Comment to this entry listing one (or more if you feel like it) thing that you like about me, and one (let's make it two) thing(s) you like about yourself. There now, isn't that all warm and squishy? That means it's time for Depends...
This is the meme where you post explanations to 3 interests and 3 userpics from your profile. If you would like me to ask you about your interests and userpics, comment on this dealy.
feminine hygiene products: I think I originally put this on here because I thought it would be an interest nobody or few other people would have, then left it on here to be able to see the kind of people who would have this interest.
not filk: When
idonotlikepeas told me about filk I remember being mildly horrified. I guess I don't really have a huge problem with it, but for some reason I like having an interest that is both a singleton and a negative.
conspicuous lack of Olaf Stapledon: I actually had not heard of Olaf Stapledon. I heard about Lem and Cordwainer Smith from two different people, neither of whom had read or meantioned Olaf Stapledon. Is there a good book to start on with him? I haven't read me some good science fiction in a while...
This is some weird Mayan thing I stumbled on while looking for tattoo ideas. I've never actually found an occasion to use it on a post or comment, but it's kinda neat.
This was my halloween costume the year before last (last year was Kevin Federline and
shrubtree was pregnant drunk Britney Spears) - the basic concept was just bad drag queen, but when I wore it to work for some reason they thought I was dressed up as some sort of horrible version of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I won some sort of prize, and got to make people feel uncomfortable at the same time. Someone mentions this at work at least once a week, even though it was over a year ago. Not much happens at Blue Cross.
This was an abortive attempt at a cat macro; I keep meaning to reupload it with more of a border so it doesn't look so fucked up. This is something
shrubtree and I imagine the cat is saying when we come up after being gone for days on end and don't have any turkey.

Apr. 26th, 2007 08:35 pmOK, so this is this meme deal where you can comment on my thingy and I'll ask you questions about 3 of your interests and 3 of your userpics, and then you post your answers on your journal. Sound exciting? Good.
Goiters: For some reason I find goiters fascinating. I don't know if it's the word or the condition itself, or some combination, but it kind of makes me giggle. Is that so wrong?
SunnO))): This is a doom band signed to Southern Lord records... but I use the term band loosely. Basically it's 2 or 3 dudes who play insanely loud feedback drones for 20 or 30 minutes at a time and then loop them over each other in an attempt to break your speakers, rupture your eardrums, or loosen your bowels. They also give these songs long weird wankery names. And that's why I like SunnO)))
Yat-kha: Yat-kha is a band from Tuva, which is basically the Luxumbourg of Eurasia. They have a throat-singer who does all sorts of crazy shit. They also adapt throat-singing to all sorts of different musical styles. They did a techno album, a folk album and a rock album among others. They also covered Motorhead's Orgasmatron. Still debating about whether I like this or the original better.
Poo is funny. I actually found this while looking for a screen capture from a Kids in the Hall sketch in which Bruce holds a big bowl of poo up to his face for a billboard advertisement.
This is a picture of my acoustic bass guitar. Yep.
I always imagined that this kitten was drunk.

Northern. Whether you have the world famous Inland North accent of the Great Lakes area, or the radio-friendly sound of upstate NY and western New England, your accent is what used to set the standard for American English pronunciation (not much anymore now that the Inland North sounds like it does).
Take this quiz now - it's easy!

Apr. 21st, 2007 09:11 amIf you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.
It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.
When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.
